1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using PettyLogs, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you use PettyLogs on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms for that organisation. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

PettyLogs is a business operations and workshop management platform designed for repair shops, service centres, workshops, and multi-location businesses. The platform provides tools for transaction logging, receipt generation, repair job management, product and parts catalogues, cash book tracking, scheduling, and financial reporting in a connected system.

PettyLogs is designed to support day-to-day operations and record keeping. It is not accounting, tax, legal, or other professional advice, and it is not a substitute for statutory record-retention requirements or your own backup procedures.

3. Accounts and Access

• You must provide accurate information when registering.
• You are responsible for protecting your sign-in credentials and for activity carried out through your account.
• You must only give access to people who are authorised by your organisation.
• You must notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

4. Customer Data and User Content

Your organisation retains its rights in information it enters into PettyLogs. You grant PettyLogs the limited permission needed to host, process, display, secure, and support that information as part of providing the service.

• You must have the right and lawful basis to enter customer, employee, supplier, and other personal data into PettyLogs.
• You are responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of information entered by your organisation.
• You must provide any notices and obtain any permissions required before using customer contact details for notifications.

5. Subscriptions, Trials and Billing

• Free trials and free features are offered as shown in the application and may be subject to eligibility, limits, and expiry.
• Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe according to the plan, billing cycle, prices, and taxes shown at checkout.
• Paid subscriptions may renew automatically until cancelled through the available billing controls or otherwise agreed with us.
• Non-payment, cancellation, or expiry may restrict access to paid features. You remain responsible for exporting information you need to retain.
• Plans, features, and prices may change with notice where required by law or the applicable plan terms.

6. Acceptable Use

• Do not misuse the service or attempt unauthorised access.
• Do not upload unlawful, malicious, or unauthorised content.
• Do not interfere with the service, bypass access controls, or use it to violate another person's rights.

7. Intellectual Property

PettyLogs, its software, branding, documentation, and platform content remain our property or the property of our licensors. Except for the rights expressly granted in these Terms, you may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or redistribute them. Your organisation retains its rights in its own data.

8. Records, Availability and Backups

PettyLogs is intended to support day-to-day business operations and record keeping. It should not be your only copy of records you are required to retain. We recommend exporting or backing up important information regularly.

Unless agreed otherwise in writing, we do not guarantee a specific retention period or that deleted or unavailable data can always be restored.

9. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary for a serious breach of these Terms, security, legal compliance, non-payment, or misuse of the service. You may stop using the service or cancel a subscription through the available controls.

After access ends, data handling and any applicable deletion or retention are governed by these Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the organisation's responsibilities for its records.

10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, PettyLogs is provided "as is" and without a guarantee that it will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every purpose. We are not responsible for:

• Loss of data, even if caused by system failure.
• Indirect or consequential damages.
• Misuse of data stored within the platform.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

11. Modifications

We may update these terms from time to time. When changes occur, you will be prompted to review and accept the updated version before continuing to use the application. Your continued use of the platform after accepting the updated terms constitutes your agreement to the new version.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which PettyLogs' operating entity is registered, unless mandatory law gives you different rights. The competent courts of that jurisdiction will generally have authority over disputes.
